Following an evaluation, we create a treatment plan. The treatment plan often includes recommendations for medication and/or therapy. While supportive psychotherapy is provided during all sessions, this is generally in the context of diagnostic evaluation or medication management. For more frequent psychotherapy, or specific types of psychotherapy, we will refer you to the appropriate resources.

Sometimes, a diagnosis is fairly straightforward, and this will be provided following an assessment. Oftentimes, further evaluation is necessary. This may include labwork, additional sessions, questionnaires, speaking with family members, etc.

We strive to apply research findings into clinical decision-making while also considering the unique needs of each particular patient. When EBP is used, we are more likely to achieve the desired outcome.

This can vary, but is typically between 40-60 minutes duration. For some clients, a longitudinal assessment with multiple visits is recommended.

No, we use Buprenorphine for the treatment of opiate use disorder. For some clients, methadone would be a more appropriate treatment, so we would need to refer those clients elsewhere.
